A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum is a bawdy musical farce which centres on the attempts of a slave, Pseudolus, to win his freedom by helping his master’s son, Hero, woo the girl next door. In true farce style, nothing goes to plan and Philia, the object of Hero’s desire, is already promised to renowned warrior, Captain Miles Gloriosus, who is on his way to claim her. Determined to win, buy or steal his freedom at any cost, Pseudolus has to try and outsmart Hero’s parents, the slave master and the Captain, with hilarious consequences... |
