“Sweet
Charity”, a warm hearted musical which opened at the
Palace Theatre in New York in 1966, revolves around a dance
hall hostess named Charity who is desperately seeking love,
marriage and respectability. She becomes involved with Vittorio
Vidal, anItalian film star, and Oscar Lindquist, a neurotic
accountant who she is set to marry until her job comes between
them. This show is full of very well known songs, such as
Big Spender, Rythym of Life, If my Friends Could See me Now,
I Love to Cry at Weddings and so on.
