Welcome to the website of The Finchley & Friern Barnet Operatic Society We are proud to present our next show, THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.

 Little Shop of Horrors tells the grisly tale of Seymour Krelbourn, an assistant at Mushnik’s flower shop on Skid Row,
who decides to boost sales by producing a strange houseplant. He names it Audrey Two because of his love for the sales
assistant, Audrey. After feeding it with drops of blood things get rapidly out of hand as the monster and the business
thrives, eventually devouring just about everything and everyone in sight. The amusing and imaginative score by Ashman
and composer Alan Menken has some well–known, catchy numbers including Suddenly Seymour, Skid Row, Somewhere That’s Green,
Little Shop of Horrors and many more. Based on the 1960s cult movie by Charles Griffith, the show’s bizarre humour caught
on in a big way and the show delighted the Broadway audiences for over 2,200 performances and was awarded the New York Drama
Critics Circle Award. When transferred to London it received the Evening Standard prize for outstanding musical. |
